Costa Mesa, California, United States, February 2025 – Scott Mayo has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Smile Brands Inc. In this role, he will lead talent strategy, culture development, and workforce engagement initiatives to support the company’s mission of delivering high-quality dental care with a people-first approach.

With over two decades of HR leadership experience, Scott Mayo has a distinguished background in strategic human resources, talent development, and organizational leadership across multiple industries.

Before joining Smile Brands Inc., Scott served as the Chief People Officer at Confluent Health, where he led HR strategies supporting workforce growth, employee experience, and talent retention across the healthcare sector.

Prior to Confluent Health, he spent over five years at Victoria’s Secret & Co., where he held senior HR leadership roles, including Senior Vice President of HR. In this capacity, he led HR operations for VS, PINK, Beauty, International, Digital, Store Design, and Emerging Businesses, driving transformational people strategies and workforce initiatives.

Scott also served as Head of Human Resources at Henri Bendel, where he played a pivotal role in HR transformation and talent strategy. Earlier, he held the position of Executive Director of Human Resources at David Yurman, overseeing people operations, talent management, and HR policy development for nearly 13 years.

His career in HR leadership began at AFL-CIO, where he worked as a Human Resources Manager, establishing the foundation for his expertise in labor relations, HR compliance, and workforce strategy.
