With extensive experience in human resources and a strong commitment to workforce development, Shannon looks forward to contributing to the organization’s growth and success.
Shannon joined North Memorial Health in July 2022 as the Director of Workforce Experience, where she was responsible for employee relations, labor union relations, talent acquisition, HR projects and programs, and workforce data insights and analytics. Her innovative approaches and dedication to enhancing the employee experience led to her promotion to Vice President of Human Resources in January 2023. In this role, Shannon spearheaded strategic HR planning and operations, significantly improving the organization’s human capital management. Her leadership and vision have now earned her the position of Chief Human Resources Officer, where she will continue to drive strategic initiatives and foster a positive work environment.
Before joining North Memorial Health, Shannon was a Fractional COO/CHRO at Sloan Solutions Consulting, LLC. In this role, she partnered with companies and leaders through business transformation, change management, and crisis response. She provided expert services in human resources management, operational management, executive coaching, employee relations, system and process implementation, risk mitigation, and recruiting. Shannon influenced strategy and spearheaded the implementation of programs for growth and improvement across various business functions.
Shannon also served as the Vice President of Talent at iMedia Brands, Inc. from July 2018 to July 2019. She rebuilt the on-air talent team, ensuring compliance with FCC regulations and managing risk. Shannon developed and managed the reorganization and growth strategy for the talent team, implemented DEI standards, and created an extensive talent recruitment and training program. She also led workforce investigations and facilitated conflict resolutions, championing company culture.
From October 2016 to June 2018, Shannon was the Regional Director of Operations and HR at Pathway Senior Living. She managed the daily operations of 14 assisted living and memory care communities, provided leadership to executive directors and HR managers, and was responsible for multiple P&Ls and $300 million in annual revenue. Shannon ensured compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, managed crisis situations, and improved revenue results for a diversified region. She implemented recruiting, onboarding, talent management, and training programs, and integrated multiple systems improvements.
Shannon’s career at Regency Beauty Institute spanned over 11 years. As the Vice President of Operations, she directed the daily business operations and human capital management across a portfolio of 89 cosmetology schools and retail salons, generating $100 million in annual revenue. Shannon developed safety standards, protocols, and procedures, and led DEI initiatives for students and employees. She managed the company’s operating P&L budget and led cost reduction efforts. Shannon also served as the Senior Human Resources Business Partner from 2006 to 2010, building and implementing the company’s HR Business Partner function, and as the Campus Director from 2005 to 2006, leading the daily operations of the company’s flagship school.
