Before joining Philips, Sharon Britton spent more than 10 years at Medtronic, where she held several senior leadership roles in global talent and leadership development. Most recently, she served as Director, Global Talent and Leadership Development, leading enterprise high-potential and leadership strategies for approximately 2,000 leaders annually at one of the world’s largest medical device companies. She directed a $10 million global portfolio, led an international leadership development team, and oversaw programs designed to strengthen executive succession and VP readiness. Under her leadership, high-potential program alumni were twice as likely to remain with the organization, while 40% advanced to Vice President roles. She also developed more than 1,000 high-potential leaders, executed over 50 global leadership cohorts, and established a sustainable leadership ecosystem that included an alumni association, leadership labs, a leadership podcast with 281 episodes and 35,000 downloads, and enterprise impact dashboards.

Alongside her primary leadership responsibilities, Sharon also served as Chief of Staff, Presidents’ Council, facilitating strategic alignment across 20 global business presidents and partnering closely with the Office of the CEO to support enterprise governance and executive decision-making. She additionally served as Executive Development Director (Interim), where she architected the executive development strategy for the company’s top 40 global leaders, including the CEO and C-suite executives. Earlier at Medtronic, she held the positions of Senior Manager, Global Talent and Leadership Development and Global Talent Development Consultant, creating award-winning leadership programs and enterprise career development initiatives that strengthened leadership capability across global business units.

Prior to Medtronic, Sharon spent more than two years at HP, serving as Leadership Development Consultant, Strategic Workforce Academies and Program Manager, Global Talent and Leadership Development, where she managed strategic leadership and innovation development programs that helped build future leadership talent across the organization. Earlier in her career, she dedicated more than 12 years to Personnel Decisions International (PDI) as Senior Global Program Manager, while also serving as Leader, Project Management Services following the organization’s integration with Korn Ferry (formerly PDI Ninth House). She began her professional journey at Personnel Decisions International in client-facing sales and account management roles, building a strong foundation in organizational development, client partnerships, and leadership consulting.

With an accomplished career spanning leadership development, executive coaching, organizational capability building, succession planning, and enterprise talent strategy, Sharon brings a proven record of developing leaders and shaping organizational culture. Her appointment further strengthens Philips Image Guided Therapy Devices’ commitment to cultivating leadership excellence and accelerating innovation across its global business.
