Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2026 — Shashwat Nigam has taken charge as Chief Executive Officer at Praxis Home Retail Limited, marking a significant leadership milestone as the company strengthens its vision to build India’s most loved and trusted home retail brand.
In his new role, Shashwat will lead the strategic and operational direction of Praxis Home Retail Limited, driving business growth, customer-centric innovation, and omnichannel expansion across its nationwide footprint. With a strong background in retail transformation, P&L leadership, procurement strategy, and startup building, he brings a unique blend of entrepreneurial agility and large-scale corporate execution.
Prior to this appointment, Shashwat was Business Head, Retail & Vice President at Entero Healthcare, where he owned the P&L for a ₹3,000 crore business—accounting for 75% of total company revenue—across 30 locations in India. He drove sales growth, EBITDA expansion, working capital efficiency, franchise development, and operational integration, including the successful consolidation of 30+ acquired businesses while leading a team of approximately 3,000 professionals.
Earlier, he co-founded and led ventures across home renovation and healthy F&B categories. At InDepot (backed by Livspace), he built a B2B2C omnichannel platform from scratch, launched private labels across wood ply, laminates, and hardware, and created a scalable, contribution-positive model. He also served as Chief Business Officer at Open Secret, where he pivoted the business into a curated healthy F&B platform, building partnerships with over 100 brands.
Shashwat spent over 15 years at Unilever, holding multiple senior leadership roles across supply chain planning excellence, digital transformation, and procurement. He led procurement portfolios with annual spends of $500 million, managed 4,000+ materials servicing 100 factories, drove large-scale cost transformation programs, and spearheaded digital and organizational transformation across Asia supply chains.
He holds a Post Graduate degree in Management (Strategy & Finance) from the Indian School of Business and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi.
