Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada – November 2024 – Bison Transport has announced the appointment of Shelley MacDonald as the new Vice President, HR & People Development. In this role, Shelley will focus on overseeing the company’s human resources strategy, supporting employee development, and driving people-centric initiatives across Bison Transport’s operations.
Shelley MacDonald has been a dedicated member of Bison Transport for over a decade, having progressed through various leadership roles in HR and people development. Prior to her recent appointment, Shelley served as the Senior Director of HR/People Development for approximately three years. Her commitment to enhancing employee engagement and talent development has been instrumental in supporting Bison Transport’s organizational growth and workforce alignment.

Before advancing to the Senior Director role, Shelley was the Director of HR/People Development at Bison Transport, a position she held for four years. In this role, she contributed significantly to the company’s HR framework and played a key role in developing strategies to strengthen team cohesion.
Shelley’s journey with Bison Transport began as Manager of People Development, a role she held for nearly seven years. Additionally, she served as a Human Resources Generalist for over three years, where she laid the foundation of her HR expertise and developed her passion for people development.
Earlier in her career, Shelley worked as a Junior HR Advisor at Wardrop Engineering and as an Employee Relations Analyst at Scotia Investments Limited, gaining valuable experience in employee relations and foundational HR functions.
