Before joining Material, Shelley held impactful human resources leadership roles at several renowned companies, including Equator Coffees, where she served as Head of People, and Athleta, where she progressed from Senior Human Resources Manager to Director of Human Resources. Earlier in her career, she spent over nine years at Starbucks in a variety of roles, including Regional Human Resources Manager, Learning Business Partner, and District Manager, leading HR and operational excellence across regions. She also held district management roles at Hot Topic and Juxtapose/Anchor Blue, where she built foundational expertise in talent management and retail leadership.
