Mumbai, Maharashtra, India – October 2024 – Shyamantak Choudhury has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Mumbai Metro One Pvt. Ltd. (MMOPL). In his new role, Shyamantak will oversee the overall management of Mumbai Metro Line-1, focusing on strategic direction, operational efficiency, financial oversight, safety compliance, and stakeholder engagement to ensure a seamless transit experience for commuters.
Before his promotion to CEO, Shyamantak was the Business Head at Mumbai Metro One Pvt. Ltd. for nearly six years. During this time, he successfully enhanced both fare and non-fare revenue streams, improved ticketing operations, and strengthened customer service, marketing, alliances, and media relations for the metro line.
Prior to this, Shyamantak served as the Additional Vice President at MMOPL, where he focused on revenue enhancement and operational direction, particularly in areas like ticketing, customer care, and crowd management. His efforts significantly contributed to increasing the ridership and overall efficiency of the metro operations.
His earlier roles at MMOPL include positions as Assistant Vice President and General Manager, where he led strategic planning, operational direction, and initiatives to boost ridership while maintaining high service standards.
Shyamantak’s experience also includes leadership roles at Delhi Airport Metro Express Private Limited and Videocon Telecommunications Ltd, where he drove sales, marketing, and revenue growth. His tenure at companies like Virgin Mobile India and Bahwan CyberTek further solidified his expertise in sales, team leadership, and project management.
