Gurugram, Haryana, India, June 2025 – Sonal Shah has been promoted to Director – Human Capital Advisory Solutions at KPMG India, marking another milestone in her distinguished HR and business advisory career. In her elevated role, Sonal will drive the development and delivery of people-centric advisory solutions, collaborating with clients to address their most pressing human capital challenges.
Sonal’s journey at KPMG India began nearly four years ago, where she demonstrated progressive growth through roles as Associate Director and Senior Associate Director. She has played a pivotal part in major transformation initiatives, leveraging her expertise in HR strategy, advisory solutions, and talent management to deliver impactful client outcomes.
Prior to joining KPMG India, Sonal spent close to three years with Bharti Airtel. As General Manager and Deputy General Manager – Human Resources, she led end-to-end HR support for Finance, Commercial, and Supply Chain functions. Notably, she also headed the HR team in India for the Africa IPO Project, overseeing all change management aspects and ensuring smooth transitions during a landmark business event.
Earlier, Sonal was associated with Amadeus Labs in Bengaluru, where she served as Manager – People & Culture – Business Partner and Assistant Manager – Human Resources. In these roles, she managed the employee lifecycle for two major divisions, designed and implemented talent retention and engagement frameworks, and successfully led leadership development and hiring initiatives.
Sonal’s foundational years were shaped by her experience at Accenture, where she served in multiple HR roles including Specialist, Senior Analyst, and Analyst – Human Resources. She managed complex rebadging projects, developed project-specific policies, and drove the inclusion and diversity agenda across various business units. Her career also includes early roles with Hidesign as Business Executive & Media Manager and as a Human Resource Trainee at Taj Hotels.
