Salisbury, April 2024 — Wessex Archaeology proudly announces the appointment of Stuart Eve as its new Chief Executive Officer. Stuart brings a wealth of experience and a robust academic background to his new role, having dedicated over two decades to the field of archaeology.
Before joining Wessex Archaeology, Stuart served as the Director of Research & Innovation at the Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA) for a brief period where he led significant projects enhancing research methodologies and innovative practices within the field. His tenure at MOLA followed a progressive role as Director of Creativity, which saw him steering complex archaeological projects and integrating advanced technological approaches to traditional practices.
Stuart’s extensive career began at L – P: Archaeology, where he was not only a founding partner but also spent over 22 years fostering a collaborative environment and leading numerous high-profile archaeological investigations. His leadership at L – P: Archaeology is credited with expanding the firm’s capabilities and reinforcing its reputation in the archaeological community.
