New Delhi, India, July 2026 — Vedanta Group has appointed Abhilasha Gupta as Head – External Communications, further strengthening its corporate communications leadership. Bringing more than a decade of experience in corporate communications, public affairs, media relations, brand reputation, and strategic communications, Abhilasha will lead Vedanta’s external communications strategy, enhance stakeholder engagement, strengthen media relationships, and reinforce the Group’s corporate reputation across domestic and global markets.
Abhilasha joins Vedanta Group after an accomplished eight-year tenure at Tech Mahindra, where she most recently served as Global Head – Corporate Communications & Public Affairs. In this leadership role, she was responsible for driving the company’s global communications strategy, corporate reputation, executive positioning, public affairs, media engagement, thought leadership, and strategic messaging across international markets. She played a key role in enhancing Tech Mahindra’s global brand visibility, managing high-impact communication campaigns, and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, industry bodies, and the media.
Prior to Tech Mahindra, Abhilasha served as PR & Business Development Manager – Technology Vertical at The PRactice, where she managed strategic communications and public relations initiatives for leading technology clients while supporting business development and client engagement. Earlier, she worked with HCL Technologies as Senior Executive – Corporate Communications, contributing to corporate and strategic communications, media relations, executive communications, and brand-building initiatives that strengthened the company’s reputation in the technology industry.
Beyond her corporate career, Abhilasha also volunteered as a Teacher with Make A Difference, reflecting her commitment to education and community development. Over the years, she has built a distinguished career in corporate communications, public affairs, reputation management, crisis communications, executive positioning, stakeholder engagement, and strategic storytelling, earning recognition as a communications leader capable of shaping impactful corporate narratives.
Her appointment reflects Vedanta Group’s continued focus on strengthening its corporate communications function as the organization advances its growth strategy, sustainability agenda, and stakeholder engagement across its global operations.
