With nearly three decades of experience in global recruitment, talent management, and people strategy, Stuart brings a wealth of expertise across the financial services and technology sectors.
In his new role, Stuart will lead the talent acquisition function for HSBC Innovation Banking UK, driving recruitment strategy and workforce planning to support the bank’s mission of powering innovation and entrepreneurship. He will focus on attracting and retaining top talent across key growth markets, building a strong pipeline of professionals aligned with HSBC’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity.
Stuart’s journey with HSBC Innovation Banking spans over nine years, where he most recently led recruitment across EMEA, managing strategic hiring initiatives and fostering a dynamic talent ecosystem to meet evolving business demands. His leadership has been instrumental in scaling the bank’s operations and building high-performing teams that fuel innovation across regions.
Before joining HSBC, Stuart served as VP – Recruitment Manager, EMEA at Moody’s Corporation, overseeing recruitment across multiple business lines in the region. Prior to that, he spent over 11 years at Wells Fargo Bank, where he rose through the ranks to become Recruiting Manager and Vice President – Global Talent Acquisition, leading global recruiting teams and advising on international recruitment strategies, diversity hiring, and workforce mobility across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.
Earlier in his career, Stuart held recruitment and leadership roles at Jigsaw Staffing Solutions, The Right People, and FutureComputer, where he managed large-scale hiring programs and training operations, and began his professional journey as a Technical Recruiter at MMT Computing. His extensive experience in both agency and in-house recruitment has shaped his holistic perspective on talent acquisition and workforce transformation.
