Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, March 2025 – Sumit Harwani has stepped into a new role as Senior Director – Global Experience Owner – Talent & Learning at GSK, a global biopharma company committed to leveraging science, technology, and talent to get ahead of disease. In his new role, Sumit will lead the end-to-end design and delivery of talent, learning, and capabilities development experiences across GSK, focusing on human-centric processes and digital transformation to reshape employee growth journeys.
Prior to this, Sumit served as Global Head of Learning and Talent Development at John Crane (Smiths Group), where he was instrumental in setting up a global learning ecosystem, launching talent frameworks, and executing a group-wide digital HR transformation. His initiatives included deploying unified employee experience platforms and managing a complex HRIS landscape across global regions.
Earlier, Sumit held leadership positions at Deloitte as Associate Director – Human Capital Advisory, where he led HR transformation initiatives across talent acquisition, learning, and employee experience for top clients. He also played a pivotal role at Syngenta as Global HR Transformation Consultant, leading key global programs across payroll, workforce planning, and compensation. His early consulting experience spans over nine years across various industries, helping large enterprises streamline their HR technology and service delivery models.
Sumit holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, and brings deep expertise in HR tech, strategic workforce planning, and capability building.
