Pune, Maharashtra, India, June 2026 — Sumnaunsh Gadade has taken on a new role as General Manager HR at Bajaj Auto Ltd. Having grown within the organization through multiple HR leadership roles, his promotion reflects Bajaj Auto’s commitment to developing internal talent and recognizing high-potential leaders who contribute to building a strong people and performance culture.
In his new position, Sumnaunsh will continue to support the company’s people agenda, partnering with business leaders to strengthen talent, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and workforce capabilities as Bajaj Auto continues its growth across domestic and international markets.
Prior to his promotion, Sumnaunsh Gadade served as Manager HR at Bajaj Auto Ltd, a role he held for approximately four years. During this period, he contributed to key human resources initiatives and played an important role in supporting the company’s talent and organizational development agenda. Before that, he joined the organization as a Management Trainee, beginning a leadership journey that reflects a strong commitment to learning, growth, and business partnership.
Even before formally joining Bajaj Auto, Sumnaunsh gained valuable exposure to the organization as a Fieldwork Intern, where he worked on change management initiatives for the company’s first annual employee engagement survey. His internship projects included evaluating vendor proposals and developing communication and branding strategies for employee engagement initiatives, providing an early foundation for his HR career within the organization.
During his postgraduate studies, he completed internships with several leading organizations including the Mahindra Group, Welspun Group, and Raychem RPG (P) Ltd. At Mahindra Group, he analyzed entry-level talent management practices across industries and helped develop a blueprint for the evolution of the Group Management Cadre program. At Welspun Group, he worked on campus engagement strategies and employee engagement initiatives, while at Raychem RPG he contributed to digital onboarding and HR chatbot implementation projects, earning recognition as a “Valued Contributor.”
Before transitioning into Human Resources, Sumnaunsh Gadade built his professional foundation as Engineer – Design Instruments at Aker Solutions. During his tenure, he worked across upstream oil and gas extraction and downstream chemical processing industries, supporting instrumentation and control system design, technical project execution, interdisciplinary coordination, and engineering solutions for national and international clients. This combination of engineering expertise and HR leadership has enabled him to bring a unique business-oriented perspective to talent and organizational challenges.
Sumnaunsh Gadade holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), one of India’s most respected institutions for HR education and people management studies.
