Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, December 2024 – Supriya Shankar has been appointed as the Vice President – Events & Experience at Swiggy, India’s leading on-demand convenience platform. With 14 years of expertise in driving growth, expansion, and P&L management in internet commerce, Supriya brings a wealth of strategic insight to Swiggy’s leadership team.
In her new role, Supriya will spearhead innovative initiatives to enhance Swiggy’s events and experiences, fostering customer engagement and brand impact across the country. Expressing her enthusiasm, Supriya stated, “I look forward to contributing to a culture that values creativity and purposeful scaling, and I’m excited about the opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams across the organisation and partners nationwide to make a meaningful impact in this role.”
Before joining Swiggy, Supriya was the CEO Singapore & SVP Growth and Expansion SEA at Lenskart, where she led the brand’s expansion in Southeast Asia for nearly two years.
Previously, she held several leadership roles at OYO, including VP Global Marketing, Head of Strategy & Chief of Staff – INSEA, and Country Head of Supply & Operations – Thailand, contributing significantly to the company’s global growth strategies over her three-year tenure.
At Zomato, Supriya served as the Head of Global Sales and Operations – Zomato Gold, where she drove business growth across key markets. She also led as Regional Director for India and the Middle East, overseeing Zomato’s largest revenue centers.
Earlier in her career, Supriya was part of the leadership at Airtel, where she managed usage, revenue, and sales operations across Karnataka, driving innovative customer-focused campaigns.
