Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, August 2024 – Swapnakant Samal has joined Waaree Group as the Head of Talent and Organization Processes. In this role, Samal will be responsible for driving talent acquisition strategies, optimizing organizational processes, and aligning the company’s human resources with its business objectives to support the company’s growth in the solar energy sector.
Swapnakant Samal brings over two decades of experience in human resources, with a focus on talent management, organizational development, and HR process optimization. Before joining Waaree Group, Samal served as the Head of Corporate Functions Hiring, Policy, Process & Digitisation at Reliance Industries Limited for over nine years. In this role, he was instrumental in leading talent acquisition for critical corporate functions and implementing digitized HR processes that enhanced recruitment efficiency and candidate experience.
Prior to Reliance, Samal was the Head of Human Resources at Khaitan & Co from April 2009 to May 2015, where he managed the end-to-end HR function for the firm across multiple locations in India. His earlier roles include leadership positions at Shinsei Asset Management India Pvt. Ltd., JM Financial Asset Management, and i-flex solutions ltd.. Samal’s career began at Heinz India, where he was involved in sales force development and campus recruitment initiatives.
