London, England, United Kingdom, July 2026 — CFC has appointed Adam Winslow as its Group Chief Executive Officer, ushering in a new chapter of growth for the specialist managing general agent (MGA). With more than two decades of leadership experience across the global insurance industry, Adam will lead CFC as it accelerates international expansion and harnesses artificial intelligence to redefine specialist insurance.
Prior to joining CFC, Adam served as Chair, Global Insurance at UBS, where he advised on strategic developments across the global insurance sector.
Earlier, he was Chief Executive Officer of Direct Line Group, leading one of the United Kingdom’s largest insurance companies through a significant period in its history, including its acquisition by Aviva. During this period, he also served as a Board Member of The Association of British Insurers (ABI) and as a Practitioner Panel Member of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), contributing to the development of the UK’s insurance and regulatory landscape.
Before Direct Line Group, Adam spent over three years at Aviva, where he served as CEO, UK & Ireland General Insurance, following an earlier appointment as CEO, International Markets. He led one of Aviva’s largest businesses, driving strategy, operational performance, customer growth, and market leadership across the region.
Earlier in his career, Adam spent eight years with AIG, progressing through several executive leadership positions including Executive Director, UK Distribution, Chief Operating Officer, EMEA Consumer, CEO, AIG Life Ltd (UK), Chief Executive Officer, International Life & Retirement, and ultimately Chief Executive Officer, Life Insurance. During this period, he led insurance operations across multiple international markets and played a key role in strengthening AIG’s life and retirement businesses.
Alongside his executive responsibilities, Adam served as Chairman of Laya Healthcare, one of Ireland’s leading health insurers.
Before joining AIG, he spent more than six years with Aviva plc, holding leadership roles including Director of Retail, Director of Partnerships, and Director of Strategic Partnerships, where he helped expand distribution capabilities and strategic partnerships across the business.
Earlier in his career, Adam served as Associate Director at BGL Group, after beginning his professional journey with Allianz Global Investors (AGF Asset Management) as an Account Manager, following his role as a Management Trainee with AGF in France.
As Group CEO, Adam will lead CFC’s global strategy, focusing on accelerating international growth, advancing AI-powered underwriting capabilities, strengthening customer solutions, and reinforcing the company’s leadership in cyber and emerging risk insurance.
