Holland, Michigan, United States, January 2025 – Tara Weymon Leonard has joined Chief Outsiders as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead the firm’s marketing initiatives and drive transformative growth for mid-market companies and SMBs. With expertise in digital transformation, strategy execution, and an impressive track record across multiple industries, Leonard is poised to make a significant impact in her new role.
In her role at Chief Outsiders, Leonard will focus on enabling businesses to scale profitably and achieve differentiation by bridging strategic insight with operational excellence. Her industry expertise spans consumer products, durables, e-commerce, professional services, beauty, and industrials/manufacturing.
Leonard brings over two decades of marketing leadership experience to Chief Outsiders. Most recently, she served as Founder & CEO of TWL Consulting, where she made Fortune 500 expertise accessible to small and mid-size businesses. Notable achievements included serving as a fractional CMO and brand strategist for non-profits, video content creation firms, and ecclesiastic organizations.

Prior to TWL Consulting, Leonard held various roles at MillerKnoll, including Vice President of Marketing for Global Enterprise Planning and Vice President of Marketing for Global B2B & Field. During her tenure, she led cross-functional teams to execute strategic marketing projects, drove alignment with corporate goals, and oversaw revenue-generating initiatives, including a +67% increase in high-value projects and significant sales growth.
Before her time at MillerKnoll, Leonard was Vice President of North America Marketing for Jo Malone London at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. There, she spearheaded strategic marketing plans, digital campaigns, and product category expansions that resulted in market share growth and sustained leadership in the luxury fragrance category.
Earlier in her career, Leonard held leadership roles at Unilever, including Senior Global Brand Development Manager for Vaseline and Senior Brand Manager for Bertolli, Slim-Fast, and Suave. She also gained extensive brand management experience at Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages and Procter & Gamble, where she began her career as a product development engineer.
