Pal, who assumed the role in 2019, played an important role in the launch of the Tata Neu app and has a distinguished career spanning over 28 years at Tata Consultancy Services, where he served as the President of Retail, CPG, and Travel, Transportation, and Hospitality divisions.

Tahilyani, who joined Tata Group in 2020 as the Managing Director and CEO of Tata AIA Life Insurance, is currently in transition as Venkatachalam H prepares to take over responsibilities at Tata AIA Life Insurance. This marks his second stint with Tata AIA, having previously served as MD and CEO for three years until 2018.

Prior to his roles at Tata Group, he held prominent positions at Axis Bank as Group Executive for Banking Operations and Transformation, and at AIA Group as CEO. He also spent over 17 years at McKinsey & Company, where he served as Senior Partner and Director.

N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, stated that Tahilyani brings a strong understanding of the consumer domain and a very successful track record of leadership. This leadership transition underscores Tata Group’s commitment to its digital initiatives and continued growth in various sectors.
