Rochester, New York, United States, June 2025 – Thomas Maxson has joined WorldWide Electric Corporation as the new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In his new role, Thomas will lead the company’s human capital strategy, organizational culture development, and workforce transformation initiatives, aligning talent priorities with WorldWide Electric’s continued expansion across the industrial and electrical solutions sectors.
Prior to this appointment, Thomas served for over four years at American Expediting Company as Head of Human Resources, where he was instrumental in leading people-centric strategies, streamlining HR operations, and supporting the company’s growth trajectory. His experience included optimizing talent acquisition and enhancing employee engagement across a distributed logistics network.
Earlier, Thomas was associated with XPO Logistics, Inc. for nearly two years as Human Resources Director, Intermodal, overseeing HR operations for a key vertical and managing high-impact HR interventions that supported complex transportation and supply chain services.
Thomas spent more than 16 years at Owens Corning, holding several progressive HR leadership roles. His tenure there included responsibilities as HR Director for XPS Foam Insulation, Global R&D, Corporate Functions, and Customer Operations. He played a pivotal role in shaping leadership development programs, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness across diverse functions.
He began his HR career through the Human Resources Development Program at Owens Corning and gained foundational experience as a Plant Generalist. Over time, his contributions spanned from operational HR to strategic advisory roles that supported global business transformation and employee alignment efforts.
