WASHINGTON D.C. – The International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA), a pivotal organization representing the United States’ dairy manufacturing and marketing industry, promotes Tom Wojno to Chief Operating Officer.
Wojno, who has been an integral part of IDFA for over six years, brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of innovation and strategic member advancement to his new role.
Prior to his promotion, Wojno served as Senior Vice President of Innovation & Member Advancement at IDFA, a position he held since November 2017. In this role, he has been instrumental in driving association growth strategies, enhancing member value, and fostering innovation within the dairy industry. Wojno’s leadership has contributed significantly to IDFA’s mission of supporting the dairy industry’s growth and sustainability.
In addition to his tenure at IDFA, Wojno is the Founder and Principal of Association Growth Strategies, where he has continued to influence industry associations through strategic development and growth initiatives. His career also includes pivotal roles at the National Restaurant Association as Vice President of Member Value & Strategy, where he led efforts to increase member engagement and value. At America’s Promise Alliance and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Wojno demonstrated his expertise in resource development and corporate relations, respectively, further showcasing his broad skill set in organizational leadership and strategic planning.
Before stepping into the association world, Wojno honed his business and leadership skills at Bloomberg LP, where he managed sales teams and contributed to the company’s growth and development.
As COO of IDFA, Wojno will oversee the operational aspects of the association, guiding its strategic direction and ensuring the continued success and influence of the dairy industry in the global market. The IDFA represents more than 3.3 million jobs, generating $41.6 billion in direct wages and a staggering $753 billion in overall economic impact. Wojno’s appointment comes at a crucial time as the association seeks to navigate the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly evolving industry.
