Vadodara, Gujarat, India, June 2024 – Umang Shah has joined Deepak Group Company as the Associate Vice President – Sales & Marketing: Engineering Plastics business. With a rich background in sales and marketing within the engineering plastics industry, Umang brings valuable expertise to his new role, where he will lead strategic initiatives to drive growth and market expansion.
Umang Shah joins Deepak Group Company with extensive experience in the sales and marketing of engineering plastics. At Deepak Group, he will focus on enhancing market penetration, developing new segments, and leading a team to achieve strategic business goals.
Before joining Deepak Group, Umang was the Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing: India & Overseas at H R O C. He built and led a sales and marketing team, served customers PAN-India, identified new customers and principles, and participated in exhibitions and conferences to improve branding and communication. His efforts significantly enhanced customer service and competitiveness in the market.
Prior to this, he served as the Vice President Sales & Marketing: Engineering Plastics (Segment Management) at LOXIM INDUSTRIES LIMITED. He identified new segments, led the sales and marketing team, managed the engineering plastics business across India, and developed viable OEM partner relationships to accelerate growth.
Umang also held the role of National Sales & Marketing Manager – Medical Devices & Pharma Packaging Masterbatch at Avient Corporation, where he grew market share in the master-batch business for medical devices, IVD, pharma pack, and diagnostics applications. He achieved national sales objectives and contributed to the development of strategic plans, earning the highest performance bonus in the company’s history.
Earlier in his career, Umang was the National Sales & Marketing Manager – Medical & Pharma Masterbatch at Clariant, where he drove business growth with a focus on safety and regulatory aspects, gathered market intelligence, and implemented business plans for the healthcare polymer solutions business.
He also spent significant time at SABIC, serving as the Key Accounts Manager – Sales & Marketing: Western Region, where he managed relationships with key OEM clients in the automotive and electrical verticals, led water management segments, and commercialized metal to plastics conversion projects.
