Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2026 — Vaibhav Singh has been appointed as Head of Strategy at Tata Power, marking a significant leadership move as the company continues to strengthen its long-term strategic vision in India’s rapidly evolving energy and clean power landscape.
In his new role, Vaibhav Singh will lead strategic planning initiatives for Tata Power, focusing on growth acceleration, energy transition opportunities, market expansion, regulatory positioning, and innovation across the company’s integrated power portfolio. His appointment reflects Tata Power’s commitment to strengthening strategic leadership as it advances renewable energy, storage solutions, and sustainable infrastructure development.
Prior to joining Tata Power, Vaibhav spent nearly 15 years at PwC India, where he built an extensive career in strategy consulting, clean energy advisory, policy development, and regulatory leadership.
During his tenure at PwC India, he most recently served as Executive Director/Associate Partner, where he advised government policymakers, utilities, multilateral institutions, state nodal agencies, and private sector organizations on strategy, markets, policy frameworks, regulatory structures, battery storage, and commercial aspects related to clean energy transformation.
Before this, he progressed through multiple leadership roles at PwC India, including Director, Associate Director, Manager, Senior Consultant, and Consultant, steadily building deep expertise across energy transition strategy, renewable markets, infrastructure policy, and commercial advisory.
Earlier in his career, Vaibhav also gained international research experience through his internship at NIMO Project Management Instituut & NIMO Academy, Spain, where he contributed to the development of integrated condition monitoring systems for wind turbines — reflecting an early foundation in renewable technology innovation.
An alumnus of both the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (MBA) and the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (BTech), Vaibhav combines strong technical, policy, and business leadership capabilities.
With his extensive background in energy transition, strategic advisory, regulatory frameworks, battery storage, and clean energy commercialization, his appointment is expected to significantly enhance Tata Power’s strategic positioning as one of India’s leading integrated power companies.
