Vikram Bhalla Appointed as Chief Executive Officer of The Convergence Foundation

New Delhi, India, April 2026 — The Convergence Foundation has announced the appointment of Vikram Bhalla as Chief Executive Officer, effective July 6. This appointment marks an important leadership transition for the organization as it continues to advance its mission of driving rapid, sustained, and inclusive economic growth in India.

Following a distinguished 30-year career at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Vikram Bhalla is now embarking on a full-time journey in the social impact sector. He has been a long-standing member of The Convergence Foundation Advisory Board, has served on the advisory boards of several partner organizations, and has been a strong and active supporter of the foundation’s work.

Before taking on this role, Vikram Bhalla served as Senior Partner and Director at The Boston Consulting Group, where he built an extensive career across leadership and talent management, succession planning, family business governance, strategy, transformation, organization design, performance management, culture, change, and corporate governance. His long tenure at BCG reflects deep advisory experience and a strong reputation in guiding organizations through growth, transition, and institutional strengthening.

In his new role, Vikram Bhalla will work closely with Founder Ashish Dhawan on The Convergence Foundation’s overall strategy and key program areas. In partnership with the broader TCF team, he will focus on strengthening organizational effectiveness to deliver greater impact. He will also work closely with portfolio organizations to deepen support and engagement, while building strong relationships with external stakeholders to further expand the TCF network.

Academically, Vikram Bhalla holds a PGDM in Management from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, adding a strong academic foundation to a highly accomplished leadership journey.

With his deep strategic expertise, governance experience, and longstanding association with The Convergence Foundation, Vikram Bhalla brings a distinguished and purpose-driven profile to his new role as Chief Executive Officer. His appointment is expected to further strengthen TCF’s mission and organizational impact in the social and economic development landscape.
