Mumbai, Maharashtra, India — Sun Petrochemicals Pvt. Ltd. (SunPetro) has appointed Vinod S Nair as its new Assistant Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer. Nair brings over two decades of HR leadership experience, significantly enhancing the strategic HR initiatives at SunPetro.
Extensive Background in Human Resources:
Prior to joining SunPetro, Nair served as the Senior General Manager of Human Resources at Reliance Industries Limited, where he was involved from October 2023 to February 2024. His brief yet impactful tenure at Reliance focused on succession planning and global talent acquisition, reinforcing the HR foundations in one of India’s largest conglomerates.
Before his senior role at Reliance, Nair held the position of General Manager of Human Resources from September 2011 to December 2023. During these twelve years, he was instrumental in spearheading HR strategies that supported Reliance’s expansive operations across various sectors.
Nair’s expertise also extends to his time at Crown Worldwide Group, where he was the General Manager of Organizational Development from August 2010 to September 2011. This role had him leading HR operations for Crown Worldwide in India, focusing on organizational structuring and employee development.
Nair’s foundational HR roles were with Reliance and SSi Limited, where he developed his skills in HR operations, compensation & benefits, and talent engagement, laying the groundwork for his later achievements in higher leadership roles.
