Pune, Maharashtra, India, December 2025 — Vinayak Deshpande has started a new position as Executive Director at Wipro. Based in Pune, he joins the leadership team of the AI-powered technology services and consulting major as it continues to scale client impact through advanced digital and AI-led transformation capabilities.
Vinayak Deshpande brings a strong engineering and transformation ecosystem perspective to this role. Just prior to rejoining Wipro, he spent close to nine years with HARMAN International in Pune, progressing through senior engineering leadership assignments. In 2025, he served as Executive Director – Engineering, where he focused on enabling AI-powered manufacturing and the convergence of IT and OT across factories and customer ecosystems. Earlier at HARMAN, he also held roles as Senior Director of Engineering and Director Engineering, contributing to multi-year capability and delivery leadership.
Before his HARMAN journey, Vinayak built a long and impactful tenure of over a decade with Wipro, including leadership roles such as Account Delivery Head and Sr. Delivery Manager, along with delivery responsibilities across global BFSI and insurance accounts. This phase of his career reflects deep experience in account ownership, large-scale delivery, and business-aligned technology execution.
In the earlier stage of his professional journey, he worked with Genisys Consulting Group, L&T Infotech, and Impact Systems, building a solid foundation in technology leadership and client delivery that has shaped his cross-domain approach to engineering, transformation, and operational excellence.
