Vishak Kumar Appointed CEO of Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Limited

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2025 — Vishak Kumar has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Limited, ushering in a new leadership era at one of India’s leading fashion and lifestyle companies. He officially assumed the role in May 2025, sharing the announcement through a LinkedIn update.

With over eight years of leadership at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd., Vishak Kumar is no stranger to steering high-performing retail businesses within the Aditya Birla Group. During his tenure as CEO of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, he played an instrumental role in building some of India’s most iconic brands, expanding the retail footprint, and pioneering consumer-centric innovations.

Prior to this, Vishak served as Chief Executive Officer at Aditya Birla Retail Limited from 2012 to 2016, where he was responsible for transforming the retail operations and driving robust growth across formats and geographies. A graduate of BIT Mesra and Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, Vishak’s journey with the Group spans over a decade of impactful leadership.

At Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Limited, Vishak Kumar will lead the company’s growth agenda across its well-established portfolio, which includes industry-leading brands such as Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, and Peter England. These brands have achieved enduring success through a blend of product innovation, strong consumer connect, and retail excellence.

The company also manages fast-growing categories and strategic partnerships with brands like Simon Carter, American Eagle, and Reebok, bolstering its market presence across premium, youth and athleisure segments. Vishak’s focus will be on further strengthening the portfolio, expanding category reach, enhancing digital capabilities, and continuing to build exceptional consumer experiences.
