Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2025 — Vivek Iyer has been appointed as Managing Director of D2L India, where he will lead the company’s regional strategy and drive the expansion of its footprint in the fast-evolving Indian education market. Backed by over 20 years of experience in B2B software sales and leadership, Vivek will be responsible for go-to-market operations and accelerating the adoption of D2L’s innovative digital learning solutions across the education, government, and enterprise sectors.
In his new role, Vivek will work closely with academic leaders, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to align D2L’s Brightspace platform with the learning needs of Indian institutions. His mission will focus on empowering educators and learners through accessible, engaging, and scalable digital experiences.
Prior to joining D2L, Vivek Iyer held several senior leadership roles in global technology firms. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President – Global Head Sales and Marketing at KITABOO, where he drove worldwide revenue and market expansion strategies. Earlier, he was Vice President – India at Anthology Inc., where he led sales, P&L management, and public sector engagement while pioneering SaaS-based solutions for the Indian education ecosystem.
Vivek also served as Director Sales – Education Vertical at SAP, leading business growth across higher education through strategic GTM and partner ecosystem initiatives. His career includes successful stints at Teradata as National Manager, and at IBM India Pvt Ltd, where he led various roles in channel management, ISV alliances, and sales. He started his career with Asian Paints and HCL Infosystems, building a strong foundation in sales leadership and customer engagement.
His deep expertise in building strategic partnerships, scaling high-performance teams, and executing complex deals makes him uniquely positioned to lead D2L India into its next phase of growth and innovation.
