In this expanded role, she will continue to lead critical labor and employment legal matters, supporting the organization’s global workforce strategies and ensuring compliance with evolving employment regulations.
Yasmin Assar has been associated with The Coca-Cola Company for over three years, steadily advancing through key leadership roles within the legal function. Most recently, she served as Director, Legal Counsel – Labor & Employment, where she played a pivotal role in advising on complex employment law matters, employee relations, and compliance frameworks across the organization.
Prior to joining Coca-Cola, she held multiple roles at the Internal Revenue Service, including Senior Labor and Employment Attorney. During her tenure, she represented the agency in employment litigation before regulatory bodies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Merit Systems Protection Board, while also collaborating with the Department of Justice on federal court cases. Her work included advising leadership on critical areas such as discrimination, performance management, labor relations, and regulatory compliance.
Earlier in her career, Yasmin gained experience through legal roles at Insley & Race LLC and Miller & Martin PLLC, building a strong foundation in litigation, legal research, and employment law practices.
Yasmin Assar holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) with a Health Law Certificate from Georgia State University College of Law, equipping her with strong expertise in legal frameworks and regulatory environments.
