Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2026 — Vishrut Awasthi has joined Amneal Pharmaceuticals as Strategy, BD & BU Head (Onco), where he will lead India strategy and business development while supporting the launch of innovative assets across biosimilars, GLP-1s, and other high-growth therapeutic areas.
Before joining Amneal Pharmaceuticals, Vishrut served at Cipla, where he held leadership roles including Commercial Excellence Lead – Global COO Office, Director – Business Head: Emerging Channels, Associate Director – Business Head: eCommerce, and Associate Director – Strategic Initiatives in the India CEO office.
Earlier, Vishrut spent over seven years at GSK, where he held several strategic and commercial roles across India, the Philippines, and Southeast Asia, including Head – Selling & Marketing Excellence, Business Head, Marketing Manager, and Future Leadership Program graduate.
His broader experience also includes founding the nonprofit Anubhuti ki Aasha, advising food-tech startup The Blissful Doors, and working as Business Planning Analyst at Larsen & Toubro Power.
