Yum! Brands, the global powerhouse behind popular restaurant chains such as KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and the Habit Burger Grill, has announced Joe Park as its new Chief Digital and Technology Officer. This strategic appointment comes as Yum! Brands continues to emphasize digital innovation and technology-driven customer experiences across its global operations.

Joe Park’s extensive background in technology leadership, spanning the energy, healthcare, retail, financial services, and restaurant industries, positions him as a key player in Yum! Brands’ ongoing digital transformation. With a proven track record of growing and scaling businesses, Park’s expertise in building strong teams and creating impactful products is expected to drive significant advancements in how Yum! Brands leverages technology to enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency.

Before his latest appointment, Park served as the Chief Digital and Technology Officer for Pizza Hut Global, where he was instrumental in leading the brand’s digital and technology strategy. This included overseeing omnichannel customer experiences, platforms, e-commerce, restaurant technologies, and data analytics initiatives. His role was pivotal in positioning Pizza Hut at the forefront of digital innovation within the restaurant sector.

Park’s journey with Yum! Brands began in 2020 as the Chief Innovation Officer, where he focused on delivering disruptive innovations to improve customer experiences and operational economics. His leadership has been critical in setting new standards for digital excellence within the company.

In addition to his roles within Yum! Brands, Joe Park has contributed his expertise to various organizations, including Cottingham & Butler, Social Mobile®, and Compass Experience Labs, serving on their boards and advisory boards. His experience at Walmart as Vice President of Associate Digital Experience & Enterprise Architecture further underscores his ability to navigate and lead digital transformations in complex, customer-focused industries.

Park’s educational credentials include a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, specializing in Strategy and Marketing, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Technology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Yum! Brands, headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, operates over 55,000 restaurants in more than 155 countries and territories. The company is recognized for its commitment to investing in people capability, fostering a culture that rewards effort, and offering flexibility and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
