Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, September 2024 — Javier Rivero Fernández has been appointed as the Head of People at Softonic. In his new role, Javier will lead the company’s people strategy, focusing on talent management, employee development, and organizational culture, ensuring that Softonic continues to be a top employer in the tech industry.
Javier has been with Softonic for over six years, previously serving as an HR Business Partner and Labor Manager. In this position, he was responsible for managing complex employee relations issues, developing and implementing HR policies, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. His strategic partnership with the leadership and legal departments has been instrumental in driving HR strategies that align with company goals.
Prior to this, Javier served as an HR Business Partner/Labor Expert, where he played a key role in handling expatriate assignments, developing training strategies, and ensuring smooth HR operations across the organization.
Before joining Softonic, Javier worked as an HR and Personal Administration Technician at Oxfam Intermón, where he coordinated payroll processes and managed HR operations for both Spanish and expatriate staff. His experience in international HR processes provided him with a strong foundation in global HR practices.
