Windhoek, Khomas, Namibia, February 2025 – Immanuel Haihonya has been appointed as the Chief Human Capital Officer at Namibia Wildlife Resorts. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing the company’s human resources strategy, talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development, ensuring that the company continues to attract and retain top talent while fostering a high-performance workplace culture.
Before joining Namibia Wildlife Resorts, Immanuel Haihonya served as Manager – HR & Admin at Namibian Agronomic Board (NAB) for nearly three years. In this role, he played a critical role in providing HR and administrative support while driving workforce planning and employee development strategies. His tenure at NAB was marked by enhanced employee engagement initiatives and policy improvements that aligned with the organization’s long-term vision.
Prior to NAB, Haihonya was the HR Manager for Organisational Development, Training & Employee Relations at Business and Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA), Namibia, where he spent almost five years. He was instrumental in developing HR policies, talent acquisition strategies, employee relations frameworks, and workforce planning initiatives. His efforts contributed to a significant reduction in legal expenses and the successful implementation of various leadership development programs.
Earlier in his career, Haihonya held senior HR roles at Roads Authority (RA), Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation, and Namibian Police Force. His experience spans strategic planning, performance management, training facilitation, and talent development. Throughout his journey, he has been a key driver in enhancing human capital strategies and organizational effectiveness in both government and corporate sectors.
