Neal Yang Appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer, Greater China at Marriott International

Shanghai, China, February 2025 – Neal Yang has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer, Greater China at Marriott International. In this role, he will lead HR strategy, talent development, and organizational transformation across Marriott’s extensive operations in the Greater China region.

With over two decades of HR leadership experience, Neal Yang has built a distinguished career in talent management, organizational development, and HR transformation across global companies.

Before joining Marriott International, he served as the Human Resources VP for China at Richemont, where he was instrumental in developing HR strategies to support business expansion, leadership development, and workforce optimization.

Prior to Richemont, Neal spent 17 years at Mars in multiple leadership roles across HR strategy, business partnering, and shared services operations. As China, Australia, and New Zealand MyP&O (HR SSC) Director, he led HR shared services transformation, enhancing operational efficiency and talent engagement. Earlier at Mars, he served as HR Director – National Sales BP, overseeing HR support for over 3,000 employees, talent planning, and organizational capability building.

His earlier roles at Mars included leadership positions in talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, internal communication, and employer branding for the Asia region.
