Meredith Bruner Appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at Centre College

Danville, Kentucky, United States, March 2025 – Meredith Bruner has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at Centre College, effective February 1, 2025. In her new role, she will lead HR strategy, employee relations, benefits administration, and organizational development, ensuring a strong and supportive work environment at the institution. With a deep understanding of higher education HR practices, she is well-positioned to enhance workforce engagement and HR operations at Centre College.

Meredith has been an integral part of Centre College for nearly 18 years, serving in multiple leadership roles. Most recently, as Human Resources Operations Manager, she played a pivotal role in overseeing payroll, benefits, compliance, and HR policy implementation. Her work in business ethics, teamwork, and strategic HR planning contributed significantly to the college’s operational efficiency.

In addition to her tenure at Centre College, Meredith also served as KY HERC Director at the Higher Education Recruitment Consortium (HERC) for seven years. In this capacity, she led regional recruitment initiatives, diversity hiring strategies, and higher education HR partnerships, further strengthening her expertise in talent acquisition and workforce planning.

Before joining Centre College, Meredith spent over three years as Treasurer & Benefits Specialist at Grant County Board of Education, where she managed financial operations, employee benefits, and payroll systems. She also held a Benefits Specialist role at Provident Bank, where she specialized in compensation planning, employee benefits administration, and financial compliance.

Her extensive background in human resources management across education and financial sectors makes her well-equipped to drive HR excellence at Centre College. Her leadership will support faculty, staff, and administrative teams in fostering an inclusive and dynamic workplace.
