Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, February 2025 – Miriam Kikuli has been appointed as Vice President of People & Business Partner (Tanzania and Uganda) at Savanna Fibre, bringing a strong background in human capital strategy, employee relations, and business transformation. With over a decade of HR leadership experience across technology, telecom, and infrastructure sectors, she will focus on driving HR strategy, business operations, employee engagement, and organizational development.
In her new role at Savanna Fibre, Miriam will work closely with CEOs and senior leadership to implement strategic HR and business initiatives that enhance workforce efficiency and company growth. She will oversee business management, operational efficiency, HR policies, compliance, and talent strategy, ensuring that the organization fosters a high-performance and employee-centric culture.
Prior to joining Savanna Fibre, Miriam served as Country Human Resource Manager at MILVIK BIMA, where she led end-to-end HR operations, aligning local and global people strategies while driving talent acquisition, performance management, and employee development. She played a pivotal role in designing and maintaining people plans tailored to business growth and employee engagement.
Before that, she was Head of Human Resources at Ando Roofing Products Limited, where she successfully formulated HR strategies, restructured departments, and led critical recruitments to support organizational transformation.
Her extensive experience also includes over five years at Wananchi Group, where she managed HR operations across Tanzania, Uganda, and Malawi. She was instrumental in establishing the HR unit for Zuku, implementing talent acquisition strategies, and developing an HR information system (HRIS) that was later adopted by the entire group.
Earlier in her career, she worked at Mohammed Enterprises, where she introduced structured employee evaluation processes, exit interviews, and performance review systems, strengthening the company’s HR governance and operational efficiency.
Miriam holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), where she specialized in personnel administration and strategic HR planning.
