Rachael has been a key part of the Booker Group for over two years, having served as Head of Colleague Experience, where she played a crucial role in shaping engagement strategies and fostering a culture that prioritizes people and operational excellence.

Before her tenure at Booker Group, she was Head of HR at Best Food Logistics, where she led HR operations across five sites and head office, managing a 10-member team. Her responsibilities spanned recruitment, employee engagement, union relations, restructuring, and policy alignment with Tesco and Booker standards.

Prior to that, Rachael spent over seven years at Tesco, holding several key HR roles, including Employment Policy and Union Relations Partner, HR Change Partner, and HR Business Partner. Her work involved designing anti-harassment frameworks, leading TUPE processes, strengthening family leave policies, and improving diversity practices, significantly influencing Tesco’s workplace policies and culture.

Her early career included stints in coaching and operations, notably as Leadership and Change Coach and Graduate Management Trainee in distribution roles. She also gained engineering experience with Procter & Gamble as a summer intern, showcasing a diverse and well-rounded career journey.
