Luton, England, United Kingdom, May 2025 — Barbara Thompson has taken on a new role as Head of Talent & Learning at easyJet, one of Europe’s most prominent low-cost airline carriers. In her new capacity, Barbara will lead the airline’s global learning, leadership development, and talent management strategy, supporting easyJet’s goal of building an agile, inclusive, and future-ready workforce.
Barbara brings over two decades of deep experience in learning innovation, organizational development, and leadership transformation. Prior to joining easyJet, she was Head of Leadership Development at Sainsbury’s, where she led programs focused on building high-impact leadership capabilities and driving performance culture across the retail giant.
Earlier, she served as Group Head of Learning Partnerships at Marks & Spencer, leading a team that supported multiple divisions including Food, Clothing & Home, and International, in embedding a high-performance learning culture. She also held key roles at Network Rail, Boston Consulting Group, and BP, where she shaped learning ecosystems and learning experience design at scale.
Her portfolio includes leading learning transformations across operational, digital, and strategic business units, developing blended learning experiences, and aligning L&D strategies with large-scale change and business growth.
