Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, October 2025 — Excel Pneumatics, a leading distributor of reciprocating and rotary compressors in India, has announced the appointment of Aakansha Cherian as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In her new role, Aakansha will lead the company’s people strategy, focusing on organizational development, employee engagement, capability building, and strengthening HR systems to support Excel Pneumatics’ continued growth and operational excellence.
Aakansha has been an integral part of Excel Pneumatics, where she earlier served as a Human Resource Associate. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in streamlining HR processes and cutting hiring time by 25% for technical roles. She also managed employee records, payroll, and benefits, and designed initiatives that boosted employee satisfaction by 30%. Her data-driven approach, including the use of SPSS for performance analytics, and her emphasis on communication and employee well-being, marked her as a key contributor to the HR function.
Before joining Excel Pneumatics, Aakansha worked with TopTrove Foundation as Human Resources Manager, where she hired and onboarded more than 80 interns across multiple functions, standardized HR processes, and drove attendance compliance to 95%. As Co-Head of Human Resources at Peershala, an initiative under the TopTrove umbrella, she gained valuable experience in recruitment, training, and virtual workforce management.
Earlier, Aakansha honed her HR foundations as a Human Resources Intern at Byteridge, where she supported engagement activities, internal communication, and recruitment using HR tools like GreytHR. She also contributed to employee experience initiatives through feedback systems and presentations that enhanced team connection and alignment.
Her initial career experience as a Guest Relations Executive at Baked by Nini’s gave her a deep understanding of customer interaction, conflict resolution, and service communication, while her internship with Cognizavest as an Organizational Psychologist Intern allowed her to explore workplace diversity, inclusion, and behavioral dynamics—skills that continue to influence her HR leadership philosophy.
