Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, December 2025 – Pravin Saraf has been appointed as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Exide Energy Solutions Ltd. In this role, he is responsible for leading India’s first giga-scale Lithium-ion cell manufacturing initiative, driving innovation in advanced battery technologies, and strengthening Exide Energy’s leadership across automotive and industrial energy storage markets.
In his current role at Exide Energy Solutions Ltd, Pravin is spearheading the establishment of India’s first giga plant for Lithium-ion cell manufacturing in Bengaluru, scaling Exide Energy’s cell and battery pack manufacturing capabilities across automotive and industrial energy storage applications.
Prior to this appointment, he served as Executive Director & Board Member at Exide Industries Limited, and earlier as Senior President – Operations, SCM, R&D, Quality and Projects, where he led large-scale operations, supply chain, R&D, quality, and project functions.
Earlier, Pravin was Head of Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, SCM Planning and Physical Logistics at Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd, overseeing multi-location manufacturing operations across Goa, Vadodara, Chennai, and Himachal Pradesh.
He also served as President at Endurance Technologies Ltd, where he had P&L responsibility for large casting and suspension manufacturing businesses across multiple facilities.
Before that, Pravin held senior leadership positions at Exide Industries Limited and spent more than a decade at Bosch India and Bosch Germany, progressing through plant leadership, quality, projects, and manufacturing leadership roles with global responsibilities.
