Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, February 2026 — SATS India has announced that Sumit Ahuja has joined SATS Food Solutions India as General Manager (Designate until March 31, 2026) and will be based in Bengaluru. He brings over two decades of experience in the food and beverage industry, with deep expertise in culinary leadership, large-scale kitchen operations, product development, and business strategy.
Most recently, Sumit Ahuja served as Chief Innovation & Plant Strategy Officer (Kitchen Operations) at RK Business Group, where he focused on strengthening kitchen operations and innovation strategy. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade with Yum! Restaurants International (KFC) in senior food innovation leadership roles, including Director Innovation (Food & Marketing) and Head Food Innovation – KFC, driving menu strategy, product development, and customer-focused innovation across India.
Earlier in his career, he held culinary leadership roles with Emirates Flight Catering – Food Point and The Oberoi Group, where he contributed to large-scale aviation and hospitality kitchen operations, menu development, and operational excellence. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Kitchen Management from OCLD and has completed advanced strategic management programs from IIM Kozhikode. Known for his hands-on leadership style and strong P&L ownership, he has consistently aligned culinary capabilities with commercial and operational objectives. On a personal note, he hails from Jhansi and enjoys biking and wood carving; he is married to a software engineer and is a proud father of 8-year-old twin boys.
