New York, United States, February 2026 —The Wella Company has announced the appointment of Calvin McDonald as its Chief Executive Officer, effective April 2. His appointment marks a significant leadership milestone as the global beauty leader continues to advance its transformation and long-term growth ambitions.
Calvin brings extensive global leadership experience across retail, consumer, and brand-driven organizations. Most recently, he has served as Chief Executive Officer of lululemon, where he has led the company since 2018, driving international expansion, digital acceleration, and brand elevation.
In addition to his executive leadership role, Calvin serves on the Board of Directors of The Walt Disney Company, contributing strategic guidance to one of the world’s most influential entertainment enterprises.
Prior to lululemon, he was President and CEO of Americas at SEPHORA, where he strengthened brand positioning and delivered strong commercial growth across North America. Earlier, he served as President and CEO of Sears Canada, leading the organization through a pivotal period of transformation.
Calvin began his career with Loblaw Companies Limited, where he spent over 17 years in progressively senior leadership roles, including EVP, Conventional Food Division, building deep expertise in operations, merchandising, and large-scale retail leadership.
