Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, February 2026 – Sarah Worzala has been appointed as Vice President – People & Culture at Verus Mortgage Capital, marking a significant step in her HR leadership journey within the organization. Having previously served as Human Resources Business Partner at Verus, Sarah now takes on an expanded mandate to lead the company’s people strategy and culture initiatives.
During her tenure at Verus Mortgage Capital, Sarah played a pivotal role in partnering with business leaders to strengthen workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational capability. Her elevation to Vice President reflects her impact and deep understanding of the company’s operational and cultural priorities.
Prior to Verus, Sarah spent over five years at OJO, where she progressed through multiple roles including Senior Human Resources Business Partner, HR Business Partner, Manager, Learning & Diversity, and People Operations Manager. During this period, she led initiatives across employee benefits design, change management, employee engagement, and diversity and learning programs, contributing to scalable people practices in a high-growth environment.
Earlier in her career, Sarah held HR leadership positions at Bellacor as Senior Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Manager, and at Newscycle Solutions as Human Resources Generalist, where she managed HRIS systems, succession planning, performance management, leave administration, and payroll support across multiple countries. Her foundational experience also includes roles at Kelly Services, Target, and USGS-National Wildlife Health Center, where she developed strong operational, talent management, and leadership capabilities.
Verus Mortgage Capital is a mortgage investor addressing the credit void in today’s mortgage market. The company acquires responsible non-agency mortgage loans from correspondents, with acquisition programs designed to expand borrowers’ access to credit through common-sense underwriting.
