Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, April 2026 – Nargis Rana has been promoted to the HR Leadership Team at Medtronic, marking a significant milestone in her distinguished career spanning over two decades with the organization.
In her current role as Vice President Human Resources, Global Functions, Nargis Rana leads HR strategy for Medtronic’s global functions, contributing to enterprise-wide transformation, talent strategy, and organizational effectiveness at scale.
Prior to this elevation, Nargis Rana served as Vice President Human Resources – Structural Heart & Aortic Operating Unit at Medtronic, where she led HR for a critical business segment within the organization.
Earlier, she held the role of Vice President Human Resources – Latin America and Canada, driving regional HR strategy across diverse markets. She also served as Vice President Human Resources in Minneapolis, leading key HR initiatives at a global level.
Before moving into executive leadership roles, she was HR Business Partner – Global Finance, partnering with the CFO and leading HR strategy for global finance transformation initiatives.
She also held leadership roles as Senior Director – Talent Management and Development, Director – Human Resources, and progressed through roles including HR Manager, HR Generalist, and HR Specialist, reflecting a strong internal growth trajectory across her 21-year tenure at Medtronic.
Nargis Rana holds a Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from University of New Haven and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hofstra University, providing a strong academic foundation in human behavior and organizational development.
