Hyderabad, Telangana, India, April 2026 – The WeylChem Group has announced the appointment of Ganesh Venkatraman as Managing Director of Vasant Chemicals (P) Ltd., a key entity within its CDMO platform.
In this role, Ganesh Venkatraman will be responsible for leading the company’s overall operations and P&L, while driving integration and collaboration across the WeylChem CDMO network. His appointment reinforces the Group’s focus on strengthening its specialty chemicals capabilities and expanding its global CDMO footprint.
The mandate will focus on advancing organizational structures, enhancing operational processes, and connecting capabilities across WeylChem’s global network, enabling Vasant Chemicals to play a more strategic role within the Group.
Prior to joining Vasant Chemicals, Ganesh Venkatraman held leadership roles at LAXAI Life Sciences, where he most recently served as President. In this role, he led business growth and operations for the CDMO business, focusing on delivering value through development and manufacturing services.
Earlier at LAXAI, he served as Head of CDMO, overseeing global operations and P&L for manufacturing services, and as Global Head – Sales and Marketing, driving commercial strategy and expanding the company’s global footprint.
Before LAXAI, he spent over five years with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he held roles including Associate Director – Business Development (EU) and Associate Director – Presales and Strategy, leading strategic initiatives, customer engagement, and business development across European markets.
He has also held roles at Tech Mahindra, Indegene Lifesystems Pvt. Ltd., Jubilant Biosys Ltd., and Piramal Pharma Solutions, building strong expertise in CDMO operations, project management, business strategy, and global client engagement.
With nearly two decades of experience in the specialty chemicals and pharmaceutical CDMO ecosystem, Ganesh Venkatraman brings deep expertise in scaling complex chemical manufacturing, driving business growth, and leading international teams.
