Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, April 2026 – CSL, a leading global biopharmaceutical company, has announced that Amy Van Buren has stepped into the role of Executive Vice President & Chief People Officer, joining the company’s Global Leadership Team.
In her new role, Amy Van Buren will lead CSL’s global people strategy, supporting the organization’s mission to deliver lifesaving medicines to patients worldwide. Her leadership will focus on strengthening talent, culture, and organizational capability across CSL’s global operations.
Prior to her appointment as Chief People Officer, Amy Van Buren served as VP Human Resources, Global Operations and Plasma at CSL, where she played a key role in supporting critical business functions and advancing the company’s people agenda across its global operations.
Before joining CSL, she spent nearly eight years with BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), where she held multiple leadership roles including Vice President, Human Resources – Surgery and BDI Segment, and Vice President, Human Resources – Medication Delivery Solutions. She also led Global Talent Acquisition, driving talent strategy and workforce transformation across the organization.
Earlier in her career, she held senior HR leadership roles at CR Bard and Catalent Pharma Solutions, where she partnered with global business functions across quality, product development, regulatory affairs, and corporate functions, contributing to organizational growth and capability building.
She also gained foundational experience at Abraxis BioScience and Tumi, building deep expertise in HR business partnering, talent management, and organizational development across diverse industries.
With a strong track record across global healthcare and life sciences organizations, Amy Van Buren brings extensive experience in strategic HR leadership, talent development, and culture transformation.
