Ahmedabad, Gujarat,India, April 2026 — Gitakshmi Group has announced the appointment of Ashok K Menon as its new Chief Executive Officer. His appointment marks a significant leadership move for the diversified and innovation-driven business conglomerate as it continues to expand its presence across technology, digital transformation, logistics and supply chain, international trade, and skill development. With a distinguished record of transformation and strategic growth, he is expected to play a key role in guiding the group into its next phase of progress.
Before taking on this role, Ashok K Menon served as Director in a confidential assignment. Prior to that, he was Group CHRO (President – HR, Admin., CSR & Corporate Communications) at H.G. Infra Engineering Limited, where he contributed senior leadership across human resources, administration, CSR, and corporate communications. These roles further strengthened his profile as a leader experienced in organizational development and enterprise transformation.
Earlier, he served as Director (HR & Administration) at The Weekend Learning, where he also worked for Bharat Nirman Infrastructure and PRA India Private Limited, implementing HR systems and processes. Before that, he held the role of Chief Human Resources Officer & Head Corporate Communication at G R Infraprojects Limited, where he led HR, administration, and corporate communication for a workforce of more than 13,000 employees. During that tenure, he drove HR digital transformation through the implementation of SAP S4/HANA and SuccessFactors, while also implementing performance management systems and updating HR policies across the group.
A major phase of his leadership journey was at Sadbhav Engineering Limited, where he served as President – HR & CC for more than six years. In that role, he headed HR and corporate communications for the company and its group entities, playing an integral role in change management and the implementation of SAP S4/HANA and SuccessFactors. Earlier, he was Senior General Manager (HR & Intellectual Capital Building) at Doshion Veolia Water Solutions Private Limited, and GM (Human Capital & General Affairs) at Welspun Projects Limited, continuing to deepen his expertise across people leadership and organizational capability building.
Before these senior corporate roles, Ashok K Menon served as State Head (HR & Admin) at Suzlon, leading HR and administration in Gujarat. He also spent nearly 18 years at Aditya Birla Insulators, where he progressed through the roles of Assistant Manager (HR), Assistant Officer (HR), and Assistant (P&A). During this long tenure, he gained wide exposure across the entire gamut of HR, IR, administration, and CSR, building the strong foundational experience that would shape his later leadership career.
His career reflects deep and sustained experience across human resources, administration, organizational development, corporate communication, CSR, digital transformation, and change management. With leadership exposure across infrastructure, engineering, manufacturing, energy, education, and diversified business environments, Ashok K Menon brings a broad and experienced executive profile to his new role at Gitakshmi Group.
