Acton, Massachusetts, United States, April 2026 — Michelle Ferero has been promoted to Chief People Officer at TPS Group Holdings, home to The Paper Store, Uncharted, and Gifts & More, marking a significant leadership milestone in her career across human resources, people strategy, organizational culture, workforce planning, compliance, leadership development, and employee engagement.
In her new role, Michelle Ferero will lead people strategy across the TPS Group Holdings portfolio, supporting the organization’s continued growth across retail, e-commerce, and family-founded consumer brands. Her appointment reflects her strong experience in building people-first HR functions, aligning culture with business priorities, and strengthening workforce capabilities across multi-location organizations.
Before being promoted to Chief People Officer, Michelle served as EVP, People & Culture at The Paper Store, where she contributed to people strategy, culture-building, organizational capability, and HR leadership for one of the largest family-owned and operated specialty gift businesses in the United States. The company operates more than 100 stores across the Northeast, Florida, and Chicago, supported by a growing e-commerce platform and a workforce of more than 3,000 employees.
Prior to joining The Paper Store, Michelle served as HR Executive & Partner at Barnowl Advisory Group, where she supported small and mid-sized businesses in strengthening HR capabilities. Her work included fractional HR support, HR health assessments, retention and succession planning, compliance and policy support, compensation analysis, leadership coaching, training, and development.
Earlier, Michelle was Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources at Proterial Cable America, formerly Hitachi Cable America. In this role, she led HR across operations in the United States and Mexico, supporting a global manufacturing organization with businesses across automotive products, medical solutions, and performance cable. She was promoted from Vice President, Shared Services, reflecting her growing leadership responsibilities.
Previously, Michelle served as Vice President, Human Resources at Methuen Construction Company, Inc., where she supported HR strategy for a leading self-performing general contractor serving private, municipal, state, and federal clients across the Northeast United States. She was promoted from Director of HR & Compliance Officer, highlighting her contributions across HR leadership and compliance.
Michelle’s earlier career includes serving as Manager, Human Resources at Consigli Construction Co., Inc., where she supported HR operations for a fifth-generation construction management company serving multiple sectors, including academic, healthcare, life sciences, institutional, energy, corporate, and federal markets. She also worked with Massachusetts Partnerships for Youth, Inc. as Manager, Accounts Payable.
Her professional journey also includes a long tenure with the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, where she served as Director, Executive Affairs and was promoted multiple times during her tenure. Her earlier roles included receptionist, support staff, litigation paralegal, and executive assistant and paralegal to the District Attorney, giving her a strong foundation in administration, legal support, executive affairs, communication, and public service operations.
