Avani Solanki Prabhakar Takes on Expanded Role as Chief People and AI Enablement Officer at Atlassian

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, April 2026 — Avani Solanki Prabhakar has taken on an expanded role as Chief People and AI Enablement Officer at Atlassian, where she will lead the integrated People & Transformations organization. This evolution reflects Atlassian’s strategic focus on positioning AI as a cultural transformation first, alongside a technology shift.

In her new role, Avani Solanki Prabhakar will bring together the People function and Atlassian Customer Engineering, the internal organization that powers how Atlassian operates across engineering, data science, research insights, customer tech support, and strategic initiatives. Her focus will be on unlocking the potential of Atlassians by combining cultural transformation with technology enablement—driving experimentation, embedding AI into workflows, and ensuring responsible technology adoption and skills development.

Prior to this expanded mandate, Avani Solanki Prabhakar served as Chief People Officer at Atlassian, where she led the global people strategy. Her journey at Atlassian spans nearly seven years, during which she held progressive leadership roles including SVP, Global Head of Talent & HR, Vice President, and Senior Director – Head of HR Asia Pacific & Global M&A Lead, playing a key role in scaling talent strategy and enabling global growth.

Before joining Atlassian, she held leadership roles at Fuji Xerox Australia, where she led HR business partnering and transformation initiatives, and at British Airways, where she served as HR Manager across Asia Pacific, Middle East & Central Asia, driving large-scale HR transformation and organizational change across regions.

Earlier in her career, she worked with Genpact and GE Capital, where she contributed to talent acquisition, workforce planning, and HR transformation initiatives, building a strong foundation in strategic HR leadership and business partnering.
