Maputo, Cidade de Maputo, Mozambique, May 2026 — Dário Sevene has started a new position as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Britam Moçambique, marking a significant milestone in his finance leadership journey within the financial services sector.
In his new role, Dário will lead the financial strategy and operations for Britam Moçambique, supporting the company’s growth and strengthening its presence in the region’s evolving financial ecosystem.
Dário Sevene takes on this role after a long and impactful tenure at Indico Seguros, S.A., where he served as Finance Manager for nearly nine years. During this period, he played a critical role in managing financial operations, reporting, and governance, contributing to the company’s financial stability and operational excellence.
Prior to this, he served as Head of Accounting at Banco Letshego, where he was responsible for overseeing financial transactions, management reporting, budgeting, statutory financial statements, and audit coordination, ensuring compliance and stakeholder alignment.
Earlier in his career, Dário worked with PwC Mozambique as a Senior Associate, where he gained strong expertise in auditing, financial reporting, and internal controls, supporting organizations in maintaining robust governance frameworks.
He began his professional journey at BDO Mozambique as a Trainee Assurance, building foundational skills in audit processes and financial compliance.
Britam Moçambique is part of the broader Britam Holdings Plc, a leading diversified financial services group listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange.
