New Delhi, India, May 2026 – National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) has announced the appointment of Shri Alok Deepankar as its new Chairman. The organization welcomed the appointment as the beginning of a new chapter of visionary leadership, innovation, and transformative growth as NHLML continues to advance India’s logistics and infrastructure development agenda.
Shri Alok Deepankar currently serves as Member (Technical) at National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), a position he has held since September 2023. In this role, he has been involved in the planning, execution, and oversight of major national highway and infrastructure projects, contributing to the expansion and modernization of India’s transportation network.
Prior to becoming Member (Technical) at NHAI, Shri Deepankar served as Chief Engineer with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in Jaipur, Rajasthan. During his tenure, he played an important role in the implementation and management of highway development projects while supporting the Ministry’s broader infrastructure objectives across the region.
Earlier in his distinguished public service career, Shri Deepankar spent more than six years as Chief General Manager at the National Highways Authority of India. During this period, he held several progressively responsible positions including Manager, Deputy General Manager, General Manager, and Chief General Manager. His extensive experience across project execution, engineering management, policy implementation, and infrastructure development has contributed significantly to the growth of India’s national highways network.
An accomplished civil engineer, Shri Deepankar holds a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and a Master of Technology in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. With more than three decades of experience in infrastructure development, transportation engineering, and public sector leadership, he brings deep technical expertise and strategic insight to his new role as Chairman of NHLML.
